With over 20 years of grassroots engagement in Barrackpore, West Bengal, Priyangu Pandey is a dynamic socio-political leader known for his unwavering commitment to inclusive development and public service. Born into a traditional priestly family and raised in Bhatpara, he represents the fourth generation of a migrant lineage from Bihar—a legacy rooted in resilience, cultural values, and community service. His early initiatives focused on supporting underprivileged students, which laid the foundation for a lifelong dedication to education, youth empowerment, and social equity. In 2023, he founded the Kankinara Jyoti Foundation, a grassroots platform focused on education, healthcare, and cultural integration. The foundation runs a free library, ambulance services, felicitation programs, and has hosted a Rozgaar Mela attended by over 5,000 job seekers—alandmark event for local youth employment. Formally joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in June 2018, inspired by PM Narendra Modi and HM Amit Shah, he quickly became instrumental in expanding BJP’s presence in Barrackpore. He led the region’s first rally for Shri Suvendu Adhikari and served as Chief Election Agent for BJP MP Shri Arjun Singh during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, managing booth-level coordination across the constituency. Despite surviving a violent attack during the election campaign, his resolve remains unshaken. His leadership style—people-first, disciplined, and mission-driven—continues to inspire faith and mobilize support across communities. Dedicated to the vision of a New India, Priyangu Pandey is building a self reliant and inclusive Barrackpore region, where grassroots voices are heard and empowered.
